Supplies

A small bowl

Fork or whisk

Ziplock bag

Pan

Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (~75-100g each)

3 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce

2 Tbsp garlic paste

2 Tbsp olive oil

1 Tbsp onion powder

1 Tbsp cumin

1 Tbsp lemon juice

4 taco shells

¼ cup of dip (e.g., cucumber yoghurt dip or guacamole)

1 cup of vegetables (e.g., bell pepper, cucumber, tomatoes, zucchini), chopped

Optional: cheese

Instructions

  1. Combine the soy sauce, garlic paste, olive oil, lemon juice, and spices in a small bowl. Use a fork or whisk to mix together well and pour it into the ziplock bag.
  2. Add your salmon to the bag and place in the fridge for 4-5 hours.
  3. After your salmon is well marinated, set your stovetop to medium heat and add cooking oil or spray. Once hot, add marinated salmon fillets skin side up.
  4. Cook fillets for 3 minutes on each side. If salmon does not feel firm, continue to cook for a few minutes more.
  5. Remove from heat and begin to peel the skin off the salmon. Set aside.
  6. Begin to fill your tacos with a tablespoon of dip, vegetables, salmon, and a bit of cheese sprinkled on top.
  7. Happily serve!
