Al-Qari: Shapes
and Forms:
Arabic letters and words have far more shapes and forms than Latin letters.
Al-Qari guides you through all the shapes and forms an Arabic letter can
possibly take in a word.
One example is the following screen in which the letter "meem" in the
beginning position,
the middle and ending positions as well as part of different words where
this letter appears in
all three positions.
Also note that the words used are the same as the ones that appear in
short
surahs of the Quran. These surahs are often memorized and their selection
here is intended to facilitate both reading and memorization.
All of the Arabic letters are shown in this lesson format. The technique
is
used for all of the vowels.
