Comment:I was searching literature and facts about zam zam water and about this miracle associated with Prophet Ishmail. I am a muslim and have faith in ghaib and miracles. But there must be something that can be scientifically proven about this water and the belief associated with it. This water is rich in calcium, carbonates, and is alkaline in nature, as mentioned in one article. It is also rich in fluoride that has some anti-bacterial acitivity. I could not find any research article that it can cure some deadly diseases like cancer etc. There are some authentic ahadith about this water but no mention in the quraan. But its a question of faith and if one asks allah subhanautalah with no one in between even ordinary water can cure diseases which is again the biggest gift to all mankind and to the very existence of the wordly life!!

Comment:All of the above information on Zamzam is Sahih "Valid" and it has been reported in sahih Narations that Zamzam is a means of Shifa (cure) for the drinkers!!! Jazakallah

Zamzam is a drinking water, Allah made it as a drinking water for Hajra and son when they searched and prayed for drinking water, its not a medicine. There are many occasions in the times of other prophets when they asked Allah for drinking water Allah gave them drinking water. Its all miracles, but all those water are for drinking becos drinking water are more important than medicine for any particular decease. All the islamic schollars considered zamzam as a drinking water nothing more than that.
