Comment:This article is to the point. I have long wondered why we cannot even agree to have Eid on the same day. I am not aware of a similar problem with Christmas Day among Christians. Yet Christ was not even born in Dec! The muslim community is replete with such examples of political posturing and power games. This malais stems from a fragmented and authoritarian culture protecting vested interests in which the so-called 'muslim leaders' believe that their responsibility is to 'tell' the people they puport to represent what's best for them rather than engaging with the community in sharing opinions and adopting good ideas. In other words, following a 'democratic' process. The problem for us is that we lack the leaders (or, if they exist, we haven't yet discovered them) who command universal respect that cuts across ethnic, religious and cultural divisions and carry a message that we can all relate to. Leaders that can inspire unity with a simple message of understanding and respect for diverse opinions. Let's cut through the twaddle that is served-up by the current incumbents. Solution: - Current incumbents: All change. - New 'Leaders': Please stand-up.

Comment:Assalamualaikum, This article is good and is the need of the hour.It should be practised by each and every one of us very sincerely. The main reason why our brothers make sects is their deviation from the basic teachings and believes. One should try to know as to what are the causes of kufr, at least 20 to 30 causes one should know so that he could avoid them. This is possible when one knows the essentials of Deen. One should put concerted efforts to learn the Deen.

Comment:Alhumdulillah, we can have articles like yours to quench our thirst for knowledge. I am a revert to Islam, and my experience of hearing and seeing our brothers and sisters bringing devisiveness to our umah happens almost too often. All the sore spots your have pointed out among us are bullseyed. In my humble and inexperienced opinion, we should dispose of our endearment to "DHADAH" (school of thoughts). If we all follow the Qur'an and the Hadith, why do we need 3, 4 or 5 different ways to practise one common way of life. Our Prophet (SAW) only practised one Deen. That's what all Muslims should do. Allah has made Islam easy for us. It is us who have made it difficult for ourselves. My allah reward you more than we have received from you. Please keep up with the good work. Was salaam

Comment:Salam alaykun, May Allah enrich u in knowledge. It should be noted that what joins us together is more than what want to separate us.Our problems is also that we are to zealous to follow the fundamentals rather we emphasize on some other things which are scarce. What is in Qoran is open to everybody, but some clings to scarce source which cause problem. May Allah assist the muslims.Amen

Comment:Salaam Alaikum, I agree with Nageen 100%. All Muslims around the world should unite for the sake of Allah SWT, it does not matter where you are from or what race you are. Brother Mujahid did a well done job telling us Muslims about unity and gaving us proof from Quran Karim.

Comment:Jazakumulahu Khayr for this important article, It is very easy to split and divide, but difficult to unite. As soon as you try to come together, people will list all the disadvantages of coming together. But never mind and take the challenge where ever you are and by the help of Allah and good planning you we will succeed. It is also important to be prepared the challenges of gothering people with different cultures and ethnical bacground, and we should remember that our Good and profet are the same.

Surah Ayah
Something to Ask...
O Allah!
I ask You by every name that You have, that You have called Yourself by, that You have taught any of Your Creation, that You have revealed in Your Book, or that You may have kept secret with Yourself.
Make the Quran the spring of my heart, the light of my breast, the dispeller of my sorrows, the eraser of my anxieties and worries.
