Comment:This is becoming a big problem in the Muslim community. I even attended prayers where they had to delay the time for people to come. A lot of people take up reponsibilities for show and fame purpose knowing well they cant not do it right

Comment:I learned a great deal from the article by soundvision and by Raid Muhammad's comments. Qur'an again and again commands us to contemplate and think and use hikmah (wisdom). We should use our Prophet Muhammad's (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) approach that was always kind and gentle.

Comment:The author deserves my compliments on these thoughts. Indeed we as muslims have lost the sense of self-scrutiny as well the sense of justice. If we are just and go through the test Allah has determined for us then insha Allah we shall be successful. Short-term gains and devious interpretations have misguided many of us to adopt unfair means in the modern world and as such we are being humiliated constantly. Are we not breating 'fasad' on the Earth by things such as suicide bombing for which we have been reapeatedly warned to stay away from? Indeed we need a vigorous dialogue on criticizing ourselves, including criticism in public. May Allah guide us all on the right path....Ameen.

Comment:It is an article that needs to be distributed beyond the mosques and Muslim organizations. Critical thinking should also be a part of Muslim way of life. We are not perfect and nor is the culture that as emerged from the Global Muslim world.
