| 103.001. By (the Token of) Time (through the ages), |
103.001. By the declining day, |
| 103.002. Verily Man is in loss, |
103.002. Lo! man is a state of loss, |
| 103.003. Except such as have Faith, and do righteous deeds, and (join together) in the mutual teaching of Truth, and of Patience and Constancy. |
103.003. Save those who believe and do good works, and exhort one another to truth and exhort one another to endurance. |

| Something to Ask... | My Rubb,
I beg of you good that lies in this night and good that follows it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil that lies in this night and from the evil of that which follows it. My Rubb! I seek refuge in You from lethargy and the misery of old age. O Allah! I seek Your Protection from the torment of Hell-fire and the punishment of the grave. |
