| Description |
"Look at yourself! Look at Muslims today! Why, despite the fact that the Qur'an is read by millions day and night, does it make no difference to our situation?" asks Khurram Murad in his phenomenal book Way to the Quran.
Intended for the Muslim layperson in his or her teens, as well as adults, Way to the Quran is not about the technique of reading the Quran, that is, learning how to recite it, how to properly pronounce it, or how to memorize it.
Instead, it's about YOU and the Quran. How this Book of God must change the heart, mind and life of everyone of us who reads it. Murad successfully shows this not by writing platitudes and presenting rhetoric. Rather, he gives concrete steps anyone can take to rekindle a solid relationship with the Quran and by extension, Allah.
Included at the back of this book is a Quran study syllabus that has been used by individuals as well as those studying it collectively, including Islamic study circles among Muslim youth in the West. Also, some of what the Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) said about various parts of the Quran has been gathered in one appendix.
This is not a book to be put away after one hurried reading. Readers should find it useful as a constant companion along his/her journey towards a closer relationship to God through the Quran.
