This is a textbook that deals with the most important periods in Islamic history: the time when four of the Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him)'s great Companions ruled the Islamic state at different times following his death.
Following the Prophet's Sunnah, certain principles were established: Shura (mutual consultation), responsible government, rule of law. the welfare system and human rights. These are the princples of Islamic state and government which later were considered the norm.
The Khilafa Ar-Rashidah is also a period which saw, during later years, the rise of many trials and tribulations and the establishment of a dynastic rule; a complex situation that is very difficult to understand for a young reader.
The book is divided up into lessons and each one ends with a summary of major points and terms to remember.
