School is where the future is made. Students of today will become the leaders of tomorrow, whether at the local, state, or national level. The values, ideas, even likes and dislikes that are established in schools are going to shape the policies of the United States, and other nations as well, in the not-so-distant future. The U.S. is the leader of todayís dominant civilization. It is important, therefor; for Muslim students to affect their peers in a positive way, by being good citizens, and by developing strong relationships with the faculty of their schools, as well as with their classmates.
Abdul Malik Mujahid is an Islamic scholar by training. He is also a political scientist, an imam in Chicago, and the founder and President of Sound Vision.
