"If you see an evil, change it with your hand; and if you are unable to do so, then at least speak against it; and if someone is even unable to do so, then with at least he should hate it in his heart-and that is the weakest of faith" (Muslim).
Not only is pornography forbidden in Islam, it is an insult to humanity and a danger to individuals involved in it due to its addictive nature and to families, due to the fact that it usually leads to problems between marrried couples. This evil has gone on long enough, and it is time Muslims take a stronger and more vocal stand against it.
There are a number of groups that are working against pornography. These are just a few, but we encourage you to seek out one in your locality and offer to help in any way, even if it's just writing a letter or making a phone call.
Please note: Sound Vision does not necessarily endorse these groups. We urge you to find out more about them before deciding to join. Or you can at least use their resources and research to fight pornography with other Muslims (maybe start MAP-Muslims Against Pornography).
