C. Islaah Abd’al-Rahim

Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated that Allah’s Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 

Islamophobia and racism are two closely related evils. Both are centered around socially-constructed identities. Both involve labeling someone or some group as being different from a main group. Both may involve, to some degree, the use of physical appearance as an identifying factor.

Islam is the perfected way of life revealed to a perfected man so that he could deliver its message to a less-than-perfect world in need of divinely perfect guidance. Embedded within this guidance are descriptions of how we as worshippers of Allah can live our best lives.

Good hygiene is extremely important in Islam. It is a prerequisite for performing many acts of worship, and maintaining it can be an act of worship in and of itself.  The companion Abu Malik at-Ash'ari reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 

Since the beginning of time, mankind has been plagued with trials of different types.
