Islamophobia has played a major role in shaping the sociopolitical landscape of Western countries since the turn of the century. Unfortunately, women seem to bear the brunt of Islamophobic attacks because they are often the most vulnerable and visible targets.

When addressing the topic of Islamophobia in the Muslim community, the tendency is to focus on current events. Some of the manifestations of Islamophobia today are anti-Muslim legislation in Western countries, rising hate crimes, and smear campaigns on mainstream and social media.

Islamic centers are undergoing a diverse and dynamic transformation as different generations are coming together to make up today’s growing Muslim community.

One day in Madinah, during the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, a group of idolaters approached one of his followers by the name of Salman Al-Farsi., may Allah be pleased with him. They sought to ridicule the Prophets and made a mockery of his teachings.

Although we do not see Allah in this life, we are promised that we will ultimately meet him on the Day of Resurrection, and we will be able to see Him in the Hereafter. As a reward for excellence in faith and worship, the believer is given the opportunity to see his Lord in Paradise.

It is common knowledge that a sedentary lifestyle increases a person’s chances of obesity and health problems down the road. 

Once upon a time, when I was a young, fresh-faced new Muslim, I used to dream about what life would be like after marriage. I thought about what the perfect age would be when I found my prospective husband and whether we would have children. Would it be right away or would we wait?
