Sample Ramadan in quarantine schedule for a younger Muslim child (student)

If fasting for that day, wake up the child half an hour before Fajr: Eat Suhoor. Then brush teeth.

If child is not fasting, wake them up.
-
Pray Fajr together.
-
Read your morning Adhkaar.

Sleep.
-
Wake up, have the kids get ready as if they were going to school. Change out of pajamas, brush teeth, make the bed, etc. They should eat breakfast if they are not fasting.

Start elearning for the day if they are schooling online.
-
If not elearning, set up an account at the many excellent sites that offer online programs for math, reading, science, etc. Have them complete work for their grade level in all subjects they are covering in school.

Take a mid-morning break and let them run around outside if the weather is nice.

Back to work: Finish up any work for the day

Lunchtime if they are not fasting.

Pray Dhuhr together

Have them take a short nap.

Once they’re up, have them:
-read a page or a few verses of the Quran with meaning
-work on a Ramadan craft. Google “Ramadan crafts” for many great ideas
-read or read to them an Islamic book or books
-help pick out and start preparing what to make for Iftar that evening
-work on an art or science project -
If the weather is nice, have them play sports outside with siblings, bike ride, or go for a jog or walk.

Pray Asr together.

Eat dinner.

One hour before Iftar:
-prepare or help prepare Iftar
-10 minutes before Maghrib, sit at the dinner table and make Dua -
Pray Maghrib. Say the nightly Duas to be made at this time for ending the day.

Eat “extra” dinner with the family.
-
Help clean up.
-
Prepare for Isha and for going to bed. Make Wudu, brush teeth, etc.

Pray Isha.
-
Pray Taraweeh with the family.

Bedtime story.
-
Quran and nightly Adhkaar.
-
Lights out.
