Unlike the Jewish community of the US, Muslims in America have neither money power nor media power. Muslims in America, however, do have one weapon with which they can move forward provided they unite to use it effectively: their vote.

God has made each one of us a responsible being. We simply cannot leave what is critical to someone else. By adopting these action items and other ideas that you can think of in your personal capacity, while motivating the rest of the family and relatives to join in, you can become an engine of change yourself. 

We, the Imams of the community, would like to request something very critical for our community and our country.

Islamophobia is hard at work. It has led to governments passing legislation targeting Muslims and their faith practices in the name of “fighting terrorism”. It has led to killing of innocent people. So let us take charge of ourselves and our future. 

Free people control their time and money. Slaves control neither. Let’s take charge of ourselves by planning for lives because there is a purpose for our existence beyond the mundane routines of earning and consuming.
