As Thanksgiving nears, it is crucial to recognize the importance of expressing gratitude for things in your life.  Though not a significant holiday in Islam, Muslims are encouraged to give thanks to both God and other people regularly.

اَللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ كُلُّهُ وَلَكَ الشُّكْرُ كُلُّهُ

O Allah, for You Alone is all Praise. For You Alone is all Gratitude.

Every day is filled with wonderful opportunities to tell the special person in your life, how grateful you are for this relationship. Here are some simple ways to shower husband appreciation to wife and vice versa, everyday.

The day after Thanksgiving every year, Americans of all backgrounds are encouraged to participate in the National Day of Listening. Encourage your kids to do the same with their friends.
