“And those who say, ‘Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us a leader [i.e., example] for the righteous.’"
We wear the mask that grins and lies,
It hides our cheeks and shades our eyes,—
This debt we pay to human guile;
With torn and bleeding hearts we smile,
And mouth with myriad subtleties.
Living through a pandemic is not an event that every generation will be able to claim. COIVD-19 has altered our daily lives, filled many of us with fear, has claimed the lives of loved ones, or perhaps caused serious illness.
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “By the One in Whose hands is my soul, the miscarried fetus will drag his mother to paradise by his [umbilical] cord if she was patient [with the miscarriage], hoping to be rewarded.”
