A December 2019 Gallup poll found that the percentage of Americans who describe their Christmas celebrations as "strongly religious" has dropped to 35 percent. This is down from about half in previous measures in 2005 and 2010. Nonetheless, Christmas is celebrated by over 90 percent of Americans, which commemorates the birth of Prophet Jesus, God’s peace be upon him.
He is the central figure of Christianity, the religion of the European settlers who came to the country, and whose influence has defined American culture for over two centuries. What few Americans know is that he is important in Islam as well.
Is Allah Jesus? Here are 10 key things to know about Jesus in Islam:
- Jesus is considered a Prophet and Messenger of the One, All-Powerful God. Muslims offer words of prayer after saying his name, as they do for other Prophets and Messengers. In English, the phrase “peace be upon him” is a prayer seeking God’s peace for the Prophet being spoken of.
- Muslims love Jesus. We also love Abraham, Moses, and Noah, to name just a few other Prophets Muslims revere. May God's peace be upon all of these great Messengers of God.
- Muslims also love the mother of Jesus, Mary. We believe she was a pious and noble woman chosen over all of the women of the world. The 19th chapter of the Quran is named after her.
- Muslims believe that Jesus was born miraculously of a virgin mother and no father. His birth is miraculous like the birth of Prophet Adam, the first human being, who was created with neither mother nor father (Quran 3:59).
- Muslims do not believe that Jesus was the son of God (Quran 5:116). God is so Powerful and Self-Sufficient that He does not need a son or any kind of partner.
- In the Arabic Bible the name for God is “Allah”. Arab Christians call God “Allah”, as Muslims do. Prophet Jesus is called “Eesa” in Arabic (sometimes spelled “Isa” or “Eissa” in English).
- Jesus did not die on the cross. Rather, God saved him from his enemies and it was made to appear that he was killed (Quran 4:157). He was raised to Heaven.
- Jesus performed miracles by the Will of God, like healing the blind and those with leprosy (Quran 3:49).
- Jesus prayed to the same All-Powerful One God as all of the Prophets who preceded and succeeded him.
- Jesus will return before the end of the world.

Please do not be fooled. Islam is a religion of lies and violence. I do not say this out of ignorance. Please familiarize yourself with their beliefs. Muhammad teaches that it is ok to lie and to kill in order to spread the religion. Watch "Islam...what the west should know"

Hello Jesus is the Son of God and the saviour of the whole univrese. Lot of muslim think that Jesus is not the son of God, the think according to the carnal life not according to the Spirituality.they don't know about the real life because their eyes are blind and the god of this world has shut their eyes.I am thankful to God that I born in a Christian family and I love my Lord and the Son of God. please kindly listen the Words of God and know about the truthGod Bless you all.

I really liked the article , it creates an awareness between the two religion. One should always beware about the other religion and this article has given a brief idea about it. thanks for creating awareness about it.

Thank you for this article. Not all Christians believe in the trinity. Some do believe in the oneness, meaning that God , Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are all God. Not three in one. I never realized that Islam believed that Jesus would return again! I knew there were similarities but not this. As far as Christians believing that the only way to Heaven is through Jesus, isn't exactly correct. We are taught that the Jews ate God's chosen people and they will be in Heaven(no offense to Islam),and everyone knows that the Jewish religion believes that Jesus is a false messiah. Anyway thanks for the article!

Hi everyone I have a message for all christians, please try to read more abot the Islamic teachings instead of arguing about wheather Jesus is the son of God or not. If you do that then believe me you will find no conflicts or flawless in this religon which Prophet Mohamed brought 15 ceturies ago. I hope you'd do what I asked for.

Jesus
i am a Christian and have read the Quran. Most of the writings are beautiful, except the part about beating women and not treating them as equals, and horrendous punishments that are dictated for certain
offenses.
Christians are not "arguing" about Jesus being God, and the son of God.
They are merely pursuing their position as it is pivotal to Christianity. Jesus was not merely a prophet, as there were plenty of those. He was born as a flesh and blood man to take a beating and killing that his sinless self did not deserve. As Jesus did not deserve his punishment, it had to be paid for, and is by Satan's relinquishing hold of all who choose Jesus as their savior.
By the way all the horrendous dictates in the Bible are in the Old Testament, which means old covenant or old contract, or old law. The Christians book is the New Testament, which dictates: love, kindness, caring, respect, giving, forgiveness, patience, eat. God helped Christians evolve from the old book to the new book, more suitable to today's world.
I have read the Quran. Now, in kind, please read the New Testament.

GOD says in QURAN that he will give you rebirth (to procecute) from your cells. ... understand the theory and examin it whether practical? .... Man started to give birth from cells by cloning... science says : on top of a safety pin can accomadate lakhs of cells.. then imagine whether God can accomadate one or two cells with him of every human being and give rebirth? .. He is almighty..

I like the concise way in which these beliefs are presented; however, I was a bit perplexed about the statement labeled #6...What exactly is meant when one says"...enemies were confused about him" ?
