Ramadan Central

Do you have children in public school? Whether they are fasting or not, it is important for their school to be informed about Ramadan. While some districts and individual teachers may be savvy about different religious and cultural practices, it is not always the case.

As the auspicious and blessed month of Ramadan draws closer, most of us make an effort to finish up pending tasks and clear the backlog so we are able to focus single mindedly on our ibadah or worship, during this blessed month.

Ramadan is coming! It is the most wonderful time of the year, especially for Muslims! It seems unbelievable that we are about to enter Ramadan 2022. The past two years have been quite a rollercoaster filled with trials, loss, emotional turmoil, and a lot of reflection.

Maasha Allah, the blessed month of Ramadan is nearly upon us. This is a month of fasting, introspection, and community connectedness. Fasting during the month of Ramadan is ordained in the Quran and is a form of Ibadah (worship) that is for Allah, alone.

Two weeks before Ramadan is the time to hit the accelerator and speed up our efforts to prepare for the blessed month so we can reap its tremendous rewards. Here are some things to take care of at this point. 

Ramadan was great for Sarah. She actually started praying five times a day on time. But once the blessed month is over she the momentum, drive and motivation that kept her going faded out. 

Ramadan 2021 has ended with a bang,…and for some of us, now a whimper.
